Travel Advisory:

One travelling to the Dominican Republic should keep in mind, that the island has a very high crime rate. 

1. Visitors should keep their belongings close and are advised to bring a disposable cellphone when visiting slums or city.

2. Travelers should get travel vaccines for Hepatitis A and B, Rabies, Malaria and Typhoid, due to the high risk of these diseases in the country you are visiting.

3. Visitors are advised not to eat food served at room temperature or food sold by street vendors.

4. Visitors are advised to research their destinations in advance.

5.Visitors are advised to carry a copy of their passports and to keep the actual passport at the residence in which they are staying for personal security reasons.

6. As a saftey precaution, travelers are advised to know the locations of the nearest medical facilities close to their residence.
